NMB48 5th Single [Virginity] 1st Day Sales
NMB48 released their 5th Single [Virginity] yesterday, grabbing the 1st place on the Oricon charts with 269,386 copies sold on it's first day.
Comparing Virginity's sales to that of NMB48's previous singles, Virginity sold 30k more than it's predecessorNagicchi, but it's still less than Junjou U-19 which managed to sell a whopping 280k on it's release day. There isn't any fierce competition this week, so NMB48 should be able to sail through and achieve 1st place at the end of the week.
But there might be one problem holding back NMB48's success. While Nagiichi may have lower 1st day sales, it bounced back on the weekend with a surprising 90k sales due to late shipments. If Assuming Virginity did not suffer from the same issue, will it still be able to beat the Weekly sales of 375,785?
